Rodney Terry is finalizing a deal to become the next head coach at Texas, a source told College Hoops Today on Monday.
A press conference is expected this week.
Terry led the Longhorns to a 22-8 record this season and their first appearance in the Elite Eight since 2008. He also led Texas to a Big 12 Tournament title for only the second time in program history after taking over in the middle of the season for Chris Beard.
The 55-year old Terry was previously the head coach at both UTEP and Fresno State.
