Selection Sunday is just 34 days away and UCLA is in position to be one of the 68 teams in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
But Mick Cronin isn’t at ease.
Not with the way his team played in Saturday night’s loss against USC.
Not with his starting center Cody Riley currently recovering from an ankle injury.
And certainly not with the Pac-12 Tournament looming in Las Vegas in mid-March during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’m very uncomfortable,” Cronin said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast when he was asked his feelings on the Pac-12 Tournament. “I’m very, very concerned. Once the NCAA protocols came out (for the NCAA Tournament), with the seven consecutive negative tests (needed to get to Indianapolis), it’s very scary.”
The Bruins are currently 13-4 overall and were ranked 23rd in this week’s ROTHSTEIN 45.
